Rick Mongeau has been the vice president of North America Sales for SumTotal Systems since the company’s formation in 2004. He is responsible for all direct sales, from enterprise-scale to SMB, in the United States and Canada. He comes to SumTotal from Docent, where he joined in 2001 and also served as the vice president of Sales.

Prior to his time with Docent, Mongeau held another position as vice president of Sales for Webspective, a provider of web applications management and content distribution, and which is now part of Inktomi, a Yahoo company. Mongeau was also a regional vice president for Axent, a data security software company, and a regional manager for Uniface, a developer of client-server applications.

Mongeau holds a B.A. in Economics from Merrimack College.
